"Artistic Homes of California consists of twenty-seven views of exteriors (and a few interiors) of mansions located in California. Most of the mansions are located in San Francisco. A few are located in San Jose and Oakland. The individual photomechanical reproductions were published by Britton & Rey between 1887 and 1890 as supplements to the San Francisco News Letter."
